I am a consultant adult neurologist based at the Greater Manchester Neuroscience Centre.
Whilst at Newcastle I had the opportunity to join the muscle group knowing that this centre had a world class reputation in translational research. During this time, I completed a PhD exploring the clinical and genetic characteristics of congenital myasthenia under the supervision of Prof Hanns Lochmuller. I was also closely involved in a very successful European biomarker project. My clinical contribution to the muscle team, enabled me to gain excellent grounding into the care and management of patients with inherited neuromuscular disorders.
