Paul worked in the muscle group between November 2004 and January 2008 as a Postdoctoral Research Associate (with Volker Straub). During his time in Newcastle he worked on zebrafish models of muscular dystrophy. Paul’s work investigated a zebrafish model for alpha-dystroglycanopathies involving the FKRP gene.
Since leaving Newcastle he has continued working as a Postdoctoral research scientist (previously at the University of Dundee investigating molecular mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease and diabetes).
